Cinnamon Roll Waffles!

This popular "recipe" really is pretty fool-proof.  I love that it doesn't require heating up the oven and the whole kitchen.  Perfect for summer mornings!  And there are no pans to clean up, and who doesn't love that!

You'll need:

  • Your favorite brand of refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • A butter-flavored non-stick cooking spray
  • And a waffle iron, or maybe even a panini style pan would work

Here are a few tips:

  • Be sure to spray your waffle iron generously with butter-flavored cooking spray unless you want to scrape and dig burnt pastry out and through those grates!
  • If you are using a hinged waffle iron (not one with a "floating" hinge that allows the top grate to sit flat) you may need to rotate the rolls so the ones in the front get browned.  You may even try doing one roll at a time.
  • Set the waffle iron on the lowest setting and keep an eye on the browning.  The rolls may brown before the insides have baked through.
  • Serve with the icing that comes with the rolls, butter, maple syrup, fresh fruit or whatever you like!
