It's pumpkin time at Keema's Pumpkin Farm!

Fall has got to be my absolute favorite season:  Much needed cooler temps in the valley and it means Turkey Day and Christmas are right around the corner!  But now that I have an almost three four five six year-old, I am really wanting October and all it's magical farm fun to just slow down!  We've got pumpkins to pick, costumes to make, tractor-pulled hay trailers to ride, and treats to bake!  And if you're in the Sacramento/Elk Grove area you have got to get in on some of that October farm fun with the fine folks at Keema's Pumpkin Farm!  Here's a little peek at a few of our visits past and present!

There are plenty of tractors that need good drivers (field experience not necessary)....

Smooth or bumpy, turbans or gourds.....

Whether you aim to carve or decorate, there are pumpkins galore!
We got one here last year that didn't start going bad until the 4th of July!!

Big and little, orange, white, green or yellow.....

Or have Farmer Mark take your little pumpkin pickers out to the patch!

YES!  A real honest-to-goodness pumpkin patch!  We've had a GREAT time so far this year learning about the different crops and the bugs!  Did you know the corn that the Keema's grow is not for people to eat?  Have you ever seen a ladybug larvae?  Or a squash bug?  Or red, yellow, and green "stoplight" ladybugs?

Take your time and choose carefully!

There's bales of hay to climb!  And run on, and under, and up, and.....
And you can even purchase some mini-bales to dress up your barn.  Very Pinterest!

There are lots of pedal cars and wagons to ride around in the dirt!

Don't be afraid to roll your sleeves up and pitch in!  The farm animals are fed every evening around 6!  This is a wonderful learning experience for kids of all ages, even their mamas!

As always, we've had another wonderful evening on the farm!  THANK YOU Keema's for providing such a great educational experience for our family!  We wait all year long for October to come and enjoy your farm and your friendship!
